Problem

New South Wales police force was searching for Australia’s most infamous serial killer. At the time of engagement with Dr John Galloway, they had no leads and said your current list is the population of Australia.

Solution

Dr Galloway worked within ‘Task Force Air’ which consisted over 20 Police Detectives and Analysts.  

Dr Galloway converted police reports into quantifiable data and used link analysis to track the killer.  

Benefits

Starting with 20 million plus possibilities, Dr Galloway’s analysis was responsible for reducing the number of suspects to 32.

Ivan Milat was identified in a police line up and subsequently charged and convicted.

Dr Galloway’s analysis was used as evidence in the trial.
